Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Great Southern Restaurants

Join us at Great Southern Restaurants; The Fish House, Atlas Oyster House, Jackson’s Steakhouse, Five Sisters’ Blue Café and Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano, for Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feburary 14, 2026. Each of the restaurants will serve from their standard menus with special features created by each of our chefs.

The Fish House and Atlas Oyster House

Chef Jason Hughes has created a special appetizer feature that will be available at both lunch, brunch and dinner: Baked Oysters à Ya Ya with roasted Gulf Coast oysters topped with applewood bacon and portobello mushroom cream, smoked gouda cheese and buttered breadcrumbs.

In addition to our standard lunch menu, which features a selection of starters, salads, seafood and sandwiches. Chef Hughes’ has created a special lunch entrée feature to celebrate the occasion: Scottish Salmon Apple and Brussels Sprout Salad featuring seared Scottish salmon filet served over a salad of shaved Brussels sprouts, arugula, Stilton blue cheese, spiced walnuts, dried cherries and shaved red onion tossed in Creole cane vinaigrette.

For dinner, we will offer our standard dinner menu, which features a wide variety of fish selections, platters and samplers, steaks and of course, our world-famous Grits à Ya Ya. Chef Hughes’ has created a special Valentine’s Day feature that will be available for dinner: Potato-Wrapped Crab-Stuffed Grouper featuring Gulf black grouper filet stuffed with lump crab salad and wrapped in crispy potato, served over rustic root vegetable ratatouille and topped with exotic mushroom-caper butter sauce.

For dessert, Pastry Chef David Williams, has created a special dessert to ring in the new year: Guava cheesecake with cinnamon graham crust, triple chocolate brigadeiro, passionfruit coulis and roasted strawberries.

 

Jackson’s Steakhouse

Jackson’s will be open for lunch service from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and dinner service beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.

In addition to our standard dinner menu, Chef Jeremiah Taylor will offer a special Valentine’s feature available Friday, February13, through Sunday, February 15; Petite Surf and Turf featuring 6-ounce petite filet with béarnaise sauce, broiled half-cold water lobster tail with drawn butter, whipped potatoes and asparagus.

Five Sisters’ Blues Café

In addition to our current menus, Chef Josh Rich will offer special Valentine’s features that will be available for both lunch and dinner throughout the weekend; Friday, February 13, Saturday February 14 and brunch service Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano

Join us at Angelena’s to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Saturday, February 14. We will be open for dinner, with dinner service beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

In addition to our standard dinner menu, Chef Ian Gillette will offer a special Valentine’s featured entrée and dessert that will be available on Saturday, February 14 as well as Friday, February 13, 2026.

The dinner entrée, “Bistecca alla Fiorentina,” a 32-ounce porterhouse for two, is a classic Tuscan preparation and the ultimate steak, carved for sharing, and featuring both the tender filet and richly marbled strip on the bone. Ours will be fire-grilled and finished with Tuscan olive oil, fresh herbs and flaky sea salt, served with Italian salsa verde, blistered cherry tomatoes, herbed fingerling potatoes and grilled zucchini.

The dessert feature, “Flourless Chocolate Espresso Torte,” is a rich, dark chocolate torte that is infused with espresso, and served with Amarena-cherry compote and a touch of crème fraiche.
