A wine and food event presented
by Aragon Wine Market and Jackson’s Steakhouse
Jackson’s Steakhouse is proud to once again partner with a local wine store, Aragon Wine Market, to present a wine and food tasting, “Celebrate South America,” Wednesday, March 7, 5:30 p.m., at Jackson’s Steakhouse.
South America is a continent rich in culture with its culinary influences molded by traditions and many years of transformations and cultural influences from a number of countries on European, African, and North American continents.
With this serving as the inspiration for the tasting, Charlotte Gordon of the Aragon Wine Market has hand selected four stellar South American wines to complement a selection of dishes as prepared by Chef Irv Miller.
The featured menu presentation for the evening is as follows:
Grilled tortilla topped with goat cheese, Venezuelan spiced pork, Peruvian purple potato relish and mojo rojo
Black-eyed peas fritter with aji salsa verde and sweet potato pudding
Both starters will be paired with De Martino Reserva Sauvignon Blanc, Chile, 2011
Gumbo greens, frijoles and potato soup with chorizo chimichurri and grated Manchego cheese paired with

Sautéed gingered shrimp drizzled with ponzu butter sauce with mixed fry of bay scallops, annatto Bomba rice, green and red chilies, chickpeas, edamame and scallions topped with daikon sprout ensalada paired with Santa Ema Merlot, Chile, 2009
Open-fired and roasted cumin- and coriander-rubbed beef tenderloin medallion with portobello mushroom-Chilean pepper demi-glace and grilled sweet corn polenta with pancetta crema paired with De Martino Carmenere, Chile, 2009
Tres leches cake with dulce de leche port wine meringue and chipotle-cinnamon dust
