Atlas Oyster House and Executive Chef Jason Hughes are proud to present The World is Your Oyster: A Collaboration Dinner, featuring special guest Chef Irv Miller of Jackson’s Steakhouse on Tuesday, November 25, at 5:30 p.m.
Chef Hughes and Chef Miller have teamed up to present a family-style oyster dinner event at Atlas Oyster House. In addition, Chef Miller’s cookbook, “Gulf Coast Oysters: Classic and Modern Recipes of a Southern Renaissance” will be available for purchase and signing. Both chefs will be on hand to present the dinner and share stories of the Gulf, their favorite oyster recipes, and their experiences.
The menu for the evening is as follows:
For the Table: Atlas House Salad and bread service
Amuse Bouche: Pickled New England Oyster and Pearls
White wine-cured Massachusetts oyster, bowfin caviar, angel hair cucumber and fresh dill paired with Perfect Plain Yachtside Lime Lager
First Course: Craft Oysters on the Half-Shell
Spicy tamari syrup, carrot slaw and fried chicken skin furikake paired with Cavalier d’ Oro Gabbiano Prosecco Brut
Second Course: Gulf Coast Seafood Gumbo
Wild local oysters, Alabama blue crab, Gulf shrimp, andouille sausage, Cajun dark roux, basmati rice and house-made cornbread crackers paired with Perfect Plain Citra Spin Hazy IPA
Third Course: Linguine with White Oyster Sauce
Chardonnay, Shoreline Crete extra virgin olive oil, garlic and parsley paired with Decoy Brut Cuvée
To Finish: Chocolate Oyster
White and dark chocolate shell, dark chocolate mousse, strawberry-passionfruit “mignonette,” white chocolate pearls and pearled sugar
