Celebrate Thanksgiving Day at Great Southern Restaurants

Join us on Thursday, November 28, for Thanksgiving Day at Great Southern Restaurants. All of our restaurants will be open, offering a special Thanksgiving feature as created by each of our Executive Chefs Jason Hughes, Irv Miller, Josh Rich, John Huggins and Ian Gillette. Details and hours for each restaurant as well as special features, are as follows:

The Fish House & Atlas Oyster House

Both restaurants will open at 11:00 a.m., serving our regular dinner menu through both the day and evening. In addition, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., both will also be serving a traditional turkey plate with all of the trimmings prepared by Chef Jason Hughes which will be available at both The Fish House and Atlas Oyster House; brined turkey breast, Southern-style cornbread dressing, roasted sweet potato casserole with Renfroe pecan streusel, garlic butter sautéed baby green beans, and whipped potatoes served with cranberry-apple relish and turkey gravy for $32.95 per person.

Both The Fish House and Atlas Oyster House are walk-in service, no reservations.

Jackson’s Steakhouse

Jackson’s will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., serving a Thanksgiving Plate in addition to our full dinner menu.

Chef Irv Miller has prepared a traditional Thanksgiving Plate with all of the trimmings; oven-roasted turkey, sliced and served alongside garlic buttered green beans, andouille and cornbread stuffing, Anjou pear and cranberry relish, Yukon gold and fresh thyme whipped potatoes, roasted butternut squash and down-home gravy for $35 per person.

Five Sisters’ Blues Café

Five Sisters’ Blues Café will be open with five seatings available; 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. We will be serving a fixed-price, two-course menu featuring a traditional Thanksgiving plate and a choice of dessert: homemade chess pie or sweet potato pie. The Thanksgiving plate will include herb-brined, sliced turkey breast, bourbon-glazed ham, and all the trimmings — green beans, mashed potatoes, yams, Conecuh cornbread dressing and dinner roll.

Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano

Angelena’s will be open 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., serving a Thanksgiving feature in addition to our standard dinner menu.

Chef Ian Gillette has prepared a Thanksgiving feature with all of the trimmings; wood-fired turkey ‘saltimbocca’ with porcini mushroom jus, garlic and herb mashed potatoes, cranberry chutney, and green beans with caramelized onions for $45 per person.

Great Southern Thanksgiving Grab and Go

Great Southern Restaurants will be offering a full Thanksgiving Dinner Grab and Go package featuring Five Sisters’ Blues Café. The package is based on four people with additional orders available in increments of four.

The Thanksgiving Meal includes:

2-lbs. sliced Turkey
Green Bean Casserole
Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Cornbread Dressing
Cranberry Sauce
Brown Gravy
Dinner Rolls

The four-person package is $75 plus tax. Orders are being taken now and can be placed until noon on Friday, November 22. Pickups will be available on Wednesday, November 27, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Five Sisters’ Blues Café. The meal will be fully cooked and will include reheating directions. Please note: there will be no substitutions. Additional sides can be ordered and are listed on Five Sisters’ full Grab and Go menu, www.fivesistersbluescafe.com. Sweet potato pie, blueberry bread pudding, peach and pecan cobbler are also available for purchase.
