Design

Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano is pleased to announce its participation in National Prosecco Week, running from Monday, June 2– Saturday June 7, 2025, sharing the Italian way of life.  As part of the nationwide celebration, Angelena’s will offer a special Prosecco tasting flight featuring six unique Prosecco selections, paired with shareable Italian snacks created by Executive Chef Ian Gillette. During National Prosecco Week we will offer this shareable for $25.

Guests are invited to explore the vibrant world of Prosecco with a curated tasting experience highlighting the wine’s elegance, versatility and regional identity. From crisp brut styles to delicate, fruit-forward expressions, each pour in the flight offers a sparkling snapshot of Italy’s beloved bubbly.

“We wanted to create an experience that’s festive and approachable,” says Angelena’s Wine expert, Matt Nichols. “The Prosecco selections offer a range of styles and the snacks are all about bringing people together—just like a great glass of bubbles should.”

What Makes Prosecco, Prosecco?

Prosecco is more than just a sparkling wine—it’s a protected Italian treasure. For a wine to be labeled as Prosecco, it must be made primarily from the Glera grape and produced in specific regions of Northeastern Italy, mainly in Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The term DOC, or Denominazione di Origine Controllata, designates that the wine meets strict quality and production standards, ensuring it comes from an officially recognized geographic area and follows traditional methods. Higher-tier Prosecco wines may even carry a DOCG label, indicating even more stringent regulations and origin from hillside vineyards with optimal growing conditions.

Angelena’s is proud to feature authentic DOC and DOCG selections, offering guests a true taste of Italy in every glass.

Angelena’s participation in National Prosecco Week, in partnership with the Prosecco DOC Consortium, underscores its commitment to celebrating Italian culinary traditions and delivering a memorable, education-rich dining experience.
