Just in time for the season, on Tuesday, November 5, Executive Chef Ian Gillette of Angelena’s will introduce a new dinner menu for the season with distinctive yet classic twists on a number of dishes. According to Chef Gillette, “Autumn on the coast is a time of quiet abundance, where flavors from the sea meet the warmth of fall’s harvest. At Angelena’s, we embrace this season by blending authentic Italian traditions with fresh, local ingredients. Each dish is crafted to celebrate both the coastal richness and the heartier tastes of fall, inviting you to experience a thoughtful balance of bold, seasonal flavors.”

Chef Gillette’s new antipasti additions include Whipped Ricotta & Hot Honey: crushed pistachio, red pepper, orange zest, grilled focaccia; Fried Artichokes: charred lemon aioli, grilled lemon and Parmesan.

Our house made pasta will feature a traditional Lasagna Bolognese with house made Bolognese, mozzarella, Parmesan and whipped ricotta. The Pasta Tasting menu will feature all new selections and will be rotated throughout the season for an ever-evolving option to try a number of classic, innovative seasonal pastas. To debut the new menu the tasting will feature Stuffed Farfalle: butternut squash, sweet potato, sage, brown butter, candied walnuts; Bucatini Alle Vongole: Cedar Key clams, white wine, garlic, parsley, shallot, red pepper, pancetta; and Ricotta Gnocci: local mushrooms truffle and Parmesan. As always, the pasta tasting will offer an all-Italian wine pairing for each course.

New entrees will feature Seared Sea Scallops: garlic cream, pasta orzo, local squash, Lacinato kale, and lemon as well as Chicken Parm: organic chicken breast, tomato, mozzarella, basil and fried spaghetti. Chef Gillette will continue to offer off menu specials throughout the week featuring the fresh, seasonal ingredients as they become available.
