Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Great Southern Restaurants

Join us on Friday, December 31st, to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Great Southern Restaurants! All of our restaurants will be open, each restaurant will offer their standard menus, as well as special New Year’s Eve features created by Chef de Cuisine John Huggins, Executive Chef Irv Miller, Executive Chef Billy Ballou and Executive Chef James Briscione. Hours for each restaurant as well as special features, are as follows:

The Fish House

The Fish House, located on the water in downtown Pensacola, is once again preparing to celebrate the New Year.

Ring in the New Year with us at The Fish House on Friday, December 31st. We will be open for lunch service from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and dinner service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

In addition to our standard dinner menu, Chef John Huggins will be offering special dinner features to celebrate the occasion: warm crab spinach and artichoke dip, with grilled emerald coast baguette; Parmesan crusted grouper with sautéed assorted mushrooms and gnocchi, finished with a lobster cream sauce. For dessert, Chef David Williams has created a sticky toffee pudding with orange chocolate bark and Angostura whipped cream. We will also be offering bottles of G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon Brut NV for $45.

Jackson’s Steakhouse

Jackson’s, located in the heart of downtown on Plaza Ferdinand, is once again preparing to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

Ring in the New Year with us at Jackson’s Steakhouse on Friday, December 31st. We will be open for lunch service from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and dinner service beginning at 5:00 p.m.

In addition to our standard dinner menu, Chef Irv Miller will be offering special dinner features to celebrate the occasion: roasted anjou pear and Gorgonzola cheese with arugula, candied walnut and Champagne-shallot vinaigrette and bell pepper confetti; lobster gratin with Florida wild mushrooms, sherry cream sauce and fresh tarragon; 16-ounce Prime New York Strip with garlic and thyme butter, scalloped potatoes and roasted rainbow carrots. We will be offering glasses of Piper Sonoma champagne for $5.

Five Sisters Blues Café

Five Sisters Blues Café will be open for both lunch and dinner service on New Year’s Eve, Friday, December 31.

We will be offering lunch service 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. serving from our standard menu featuring soups, starters, sandwiches and platters along with favorites including Aunt Sara’s Southern fried chicken, Southern seafood platter, our famous Chicken and Waffles — and much more.

New Year’s Eve dinner service begins at 4:00 p.m. and will be available until 10:00 p.m. In addition, to our full dinner menu, we will be offering a special New Year’s Eve feature: BBQ braised short ribs served over caramelized leek and Parmesan whipped potatoes, finished with grilled lobster tail and sauteed green beans.

Additionally, we will also offer party favors at dinner as well as well as Cat Daddy Blues Band performing 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano

Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano will be offering three seatings for the evening for New Year’s Eve. The seatings will be held at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and will feature the culinary creations of Chef James Briscione. In addition to our full, standard dinner menu, Chef will offer a special featured dish: wood-fired 8-oz filet mignon, whipped Parmesan potato, chianti, and wild mushrooms $62. He has also crafted a celebratory pasta tasting menu that will include caviar tortellini and lobster ravioli; these special pasta plates will be available as part of the tasting menu and a la carte. Wine Director, Brooke Parkhurst, has selected a special featured champagne pour for the evening: Taittinger Brut La Francaise, available by the glass/$20 or by the bottle/$86. Great Southern New Year’s Eve Grab and Go

In addition to on-property dining, Great Southern Restaurants will be offering a full New Year’s Eve Grab and Go package featuring our sister restaurant, Five Sisters Blues Café. The package is based on six people with additional orders available in increments of six.

The New Year’s Meal includes:

Collards Greens

Black Eyed Peas

Cornbread

The six-person package is $45 plus tax. Orders are being taken now and can be placed until noon on Tuesday, December 28. Pickups will be available Friday, December 31, 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The meal will be fully cooked and will include reheating directions. Please note: there will be no substitutions. Additional sides can be ordered and are listed on our full Grab and Go menu.
