The Fish House Serving Mother’s Day Brunch and Dinner
The Fish House will be open and serving Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 12, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with dinner service available beginning at 3:00 p.m.
We will be serving from our standard brunch menu, which features a selection of starters, salads, seafood and sandwiches as well as four versions of Eggs Benedict, our world-famous Grits à Ya Ya, and brunch favorites; Cinnamon Toast French Toast,
Classic Monte Cristo and Jack Daniel’s Chicken and Waffles. As always, we will be offering bottomless champagne and mimosas for $5 and Bloody Marys for $2.
In addition, Chef de Cuisine John Huggins has created two special Mother’s Day features that will be available for brunch: Hot Chocolate French Toast featuring brioche bread stuffed with chocolate ganache, dipped in a chocolate custard and finished with housemade marshmallow fluff, chocolate sauce and fresh berries as well as Lobster Benedict — English muffins topped with avocado, lobster cakes, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce served with choice of tater tot casserole or Gouda grits, garnished with fresh fruit.
For dinner, we will offer our standard dinner menu, which features a wide variety of fish selections, platters and samplers, steaks and of course, our world-famous Grits à Ya Ya — our signature dish featuring spiced Gulf jumbo shrimp atop a sauté of spinach, portobello mushrooms, applewood-smoked bacon, garlic, shallots, and cream over a heaping bed of smoked Gouda cheese grits. Chef Huggins’ Mother’s Day special for the evening will be seared scallops served with a pomegranate tabbouleh salad, warm apple compote, finished with a balsamic reduction.
