Join us on Sunday, May 14th, for Mother’s Day at Great Southern Restaurants! All of our restaurants will be open, each restaurant will offer their standard menus, as well as special features created by Chef de Cuisine John Huggins, Executive Chef Irv Miller, Chef Jason Hughes and Executive Chef James Briscione. Hours and special features for each restaurant are as follows:
The Fish House
The Fish House will be open and serving Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 14th, 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with dinner service available beginning at 3:00 p.m.
We will be serving from our standard brunch menu, which features a selection of starters, salads, seafood and sandwiches as well as our Classic Eggs Benedict, world-famous Grits à Ya Ya, Baked French Toast, and our crispy fried Chicken Biscuit.
Chef Jason Hughes has created a special appetizer feature that will be available at both brunch and dinner: baked brie bites featuring puff pastry cups filled with baked brie and raspberry-morello cherry jam, topped with candied walnuts and fried rosemary.
In addition to our standard menu, Chef Hughes’ special brunch entrée feature is salmon bagel benedict with hardwood-smoked salmon, goat cheese mousse, roasted tomato on a toasted Emerald Coast Bread Co. everything bagel, avocado bearnaise and crispy capers with an arugula salad.
For dinner, we will offer our standard dinner menu, which features a wide variety of fish selections, platters and samplers, steaks and of course, our world-famous Grits à Ya Ya — our signature dish featuring spiced Gulf jumbo shrimp atop a sauté of spinach, portobello mushrooms, applewood-smoked bacon, garlic, shallots, and cream over a heaping bed of smoked Gouda cheese grits. Chef Jason Hughes has created a special Mother’s Day feature that will be available for dinner: parmesan-crusted Gulf red snapper filet over bucatini pasta, roasted local summer squash, spinach, fresh basil tossed in lemon-ricotta cream with charred tomato, roasted garlic breadcrumb and gremolata.
Located at 600 South Barracks Street, on the water in Downtown Pensacola, the Fish House, where we have been serving up local food and local traditions for two decades, opens at 11:00 a.m. daily, walk -in only. Jackson’s Steakhouse
Jackson’s will be serving Mother’s Day brunch as well as Mother’s Day dinner on Sunday, May 14th. Brunch hours are from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with dinner service at 5:00 p.m.
For brunch, we will be serving from our special brunch menu, which features a selection of starters, salads, omelets, sandwiches and brunch plates including Deep Dish Quiche Lorraine, Cajun Omelet, Steak and Eggs, and Ricotta Toast with Sliced Smoked Salmon. In addition, Chef Irv Miller has created a Mother’s Day brunch feature: soft poached eggs, ravigote sauce, roasted rainbow potatoes and grilled jumbo asparagus.
For dinner, we will be serving from our standard dinner menu featuring a selection of soups, salads and starters as well as local fish, steaks, chops and lobster. In addition, our extensive award-winning wine list will be available. Chef Miller will also be offering a special Mother’s Day dinner feature: Sesame and spice-crusted fillets, ginger roasted cucumbers, coconut and mint jasmine rice cake, BG honey196 and red Chile sauce, green curry aioli and soy reduction.

Five Sister’s Blues Cafe
Five Sisters Blues Café will be open for our traditional Sunday Jazz Brunch on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 14, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
We will be serving from our standard brunch menu, which features a selection of starters, salads, entrées, seafood and sandwiches as well as brunch favorites: The Sisters’ Benedict, Chicken and Waffles, Smothered Chicken Biscuit, and Belgian Waffles. As always, we will have live jazz performances throughout brunch service and offer our signature Bloody Mary: vodka, Louisiana hot sauce, pickled okra, Worcestershire sauce, olive juice and black pepper — topped with a fried chicken wing!
In addition to our brunch menu, Chef John Huggins will offer special Easter features that will be available throughout the day:

Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano
Angelena’s will be open Sunday, May 14, for Mother’s Day Brunch with three seatings available: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. We will be serving a pre-fixe menu featuring some Italian brunch favorites. The cost for the Mother’s Day menu is $65. In addition to our full Italian wine list, Wine Director, Brooke Parkhurst, has selected a special featured bubbly, “MonteRossa Franciacorta” for $55.
