Guava-Jalapeño Glaze

Serves: about 1 cup


8 tablespoons guava paste 3/4 cup water
3 tablespoons molasses
3 tablespoons ketchup

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon Creole mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
1 jalapeño pepper seeded and nely minced 2 tablespoons cilantro, small chopped Pinch kosher salt and cayenne pepper


Combine all the glaze ingredients in a small saucepot and whisk together over medium heat. Reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Brush over grilled beef, pork or chicken.
