Angelena’s is pleased to offer a series of special dinners, each themed around Italian traditions. Each dinner will be held in the main dining room at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required, to reserve your spot, please call 850-542-8398.

At each special dinner, Chef James Briscione will present a selection of welcoming aperitivos followed by a four-course dinner that will feature Italian favorites. In addition, wine pairings will be included as selected by Wine Director Brooke Parkhurst.

Thursday, January 13: A Celebration of Truffles, Barolos & Barbarescos

Savor the last of the season’s truffles and the “king” and “queen” of Italian wines, Barolo and Barbaresco, with Chef James Briscione and Wine Director, Brooke Parkhurst. Max Rowe, Fine Wine Specialist of Breakthru Beverages, Aspect Division, will share his extensive knowledge of Piemontese wines. Event cost is $250 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

Thursday, February 17: Volpaia, The Grandfather of Chianti

Volpaia was the first-ever Chianti produced and, within the past years, has shot to the #3 placement on Wine Spectator’s list. With the guidance of Wine Director, Brooke Parkhurst, and Alessandro Boga, Wilson Daniels Fine Wines Italian Brand Manager and Specialist, we will sample Volpaia’s iconic wines. Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Chianti Classico Gran Riserva and finally their prized dessert wine, Vin Santo. Chef James will pair the prized Sangiovese-based wines with rustic, cool-weather dishes. Event cost is $150 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

Thursday, April 21: The House of Taittinger: A Champagne Dinner

Champagne- the drink of kings! The most elegant and iconic sparkler in the world represents celebration, luxury and fun. Although the Angelenas wine list is all-Italian, there has always been room for a small, select group of premiere—and well-priced—champagnes. Taittinger is at at the top of Brooke’s list.

Taittinger is one of the few remaining family-owned Champagne houses that still exist. Based out of Reims, France, the champagne house is known for producing exceptionally elegant sparklers due to the high percentage of Chardonnay in the blend. Taittinger is at the top of Brooke’s champagne list.

Chef James and Brooke will work closely with Mark Spaulding, lead luxury wine specialist of RNDC, and Taittinger Champagne representative, to lead you through a luxury champagne dinner like no other. Fresh Gulf seafood, light Italian cheeses and more will round out this memorable event. Event cost is $175 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

Thursday, June 23: An Evening with Tuscany Wines

We will begin our evening with Tuscany’s most iconic white wine, Vermentino, and then progress to a fruity Sangiovese, next a bold Super Tuscan and finish with a beautiful Brunello. The region’s santo and biscotti.

Angelena’s offers coastal Italian cuisine as well as an extensive list of Italian wines.
